Whenever I'm greeted at the door with a toddler hug and welcomed right into an imaginary game, I know I've hit the family jackpot. These two little girls are busy - between the magical lands of a four-year-old's mind and an early walking baby - there's not a lot of down time around here.
This afternoon we spent together was a busy one on an already busy holiday week, but this was the best kind of busy. It was filled with building legos, sharing stories of summer trips to see princesses, heating up coffee and baking chocolate kiss cookies, and exploring around their local lake, skipping rocks, spotting fish, and watching the late autumn geese fly overhead.
It was the best kind of busy - one rooted in laughter and quality family time together. If only all days could be this magical!
